All the sensors we use are battery powered. This means there are no unsightly cables or the need for electrical work in the home. The batteries last many years and in the unlikely event a sensor has a low battery we will send you new batteries free of charge.

Motion Sensors
Motion sensors use a tiny infra red beam to pick up on movement in their field of view. We advise placing motion sensors in the bedroom, open plan living room and bathroom. As they detect activity they transmit this data to your mobile app, enabling you to see where or in which room the activity was detected and when the activity occurred.
A basic iStay@Home system comes with 3 motion sensors. This is sufficient for a small apartment, villa townhouse or duplex. For larger homes, particularly two level homes or homes where more than one room is used regularly we advise adding additional motion sensors.

Like all of the sensors used in an iStay@Home system, the magnetic door sensor is discreet and stylish.
Magnet Sensors
We use 3 magnet sensors in the basic iStay@Home system to record opening of the fridge and exterior doors.
Where it is useful to record access to a medicine cabinet, we advise adding an additional magnetic door sensor.
Our stylish smartplug can either be used to record when an electrical appliance was last used (ie electric jug) or used as a switch so you can ensure appliances are switched off
Smart Plug
Usually one smartplug on an electric jug is all that is required to provide a wealth of activity data. For example attached to an electric jug it will provide data about the last time the jug was boiled.
You can also use the smart plug to act as a master switch on a particular appliance, so you can ensure that appliance is powered on or off.
